The prostate is part of the male reproductive and urinary systems. It is about the size of a walnut in younger men, but it may start to get larger when men reach their late 40s and early 50s.

The prostate is a gland located between the bladder and the penis, just in front of the rectum formed of 2 lobes which surround the urethra, a canal that runs through the center of the prostate, from the bladder to the penis, letting urine and sperm flow out of the body.
What is Prostate Cancer?

Prostate cancer starts in the cells of the prostate. A cancerous (malignant) tumour consists of cancer cells that can grow into nearby tissue and destroy it. The tumour can also spread (metastasize) to other body parts.
