For Patients, Survivors and Caregivers: The Cancer Centre currently receives over 3000 new cancer patients annually and conducts approximately 17,000 chemotherapy visits and 38,000 radiation therapy visits, saving Northern Ontario residents who have cancer and their families the cost and inconvenience of travelling to Southern Ontario for treatment.

The Prostate Centre manages prostate cancer and other prostate diseases, like prostatitis and BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). Princess Margaret also provides screening services for men with a high risk of developing prostate cancer. This group includes men with BRCA gene mutations or a family history of prostate cancer.

The Healthy-Steps Program
ELLICSR - Walking together
Healthy Steps is suitable for anyone with cancer, lymphedema, arthritis or other chronic illnesses. Benefits of the program include increased range of motion, reduced fatigue, improved balance, strength and self-esteem, and helping with emotional recovery. Healthy Steps is held at the ELLISCR: Health, Wellness and Cancer Survivorship Centre located in the basement of Toronto General Hospital. Right now, there is plenty of space to welcome new participants on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m for ten weeks
