For over 25 years, The Father's Day Walk Run supporters have helped us change the lives of men living with prostate cancer. And now more than ever, we know that those affected by prostate cancer need our support. Join participants everywhere by raising funds and awareness to help build a world where no man has to hear the words, "you have prostate cancer." ​ 2024 marks the 26th Anniversary of the walk. 26 years later the disease is still here and so are we. In that time we have been able to award over 2.68M in grants and fund 96 projects.

Created in 2008, the Montreal Chapter experienced difficult years in the beginning. Led by Daniel Séguin the results were unfortunately inconsistent. Daniel was able to persevere and attract dynamic, like-minded people to increase the number of participants and donations to the Montreal organization supporting research against prostate cancer. To date, the Montreal chapter has raised nearly $338,000.00 dollars for the fight against prostate cancer.

Established in 2004, the Kingston-Quite Motorcycle Ride for Dad has raised over $1.5 million dollars for the fight against prostate cancer. Great news, the Motorcycle Ride For Dad has been re-established in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Following a career in the Canadian Armed Forces Giorgio “Jojo” Frausin returned home to the region in February to retire. Having served as Co-Chair of the Ride For Dad Chapter in Kingston, Ontario, and participating in other Chapters across Canada, Giorgio was eager to volunteer with the Halifax Chapter. Learning that the Chapter was dormant Giorigio enlisted the help of John Hooper, my brother-in-law, as Co-Chair, and his sister Mary as Finance Officer.

Our chapter is a grassroots community partner with many local sponsors taking part in our chapter’s success. The Yukon joined the Ride for Dad family in 2010, extending the Canadian presence from coast to coast to coast. The Yukon chapter hosted the National summit in 2017 and welcomed researchers who were taking advantage of Ride for Dad fundraising to explore innovative research, testing, and treatment options. One of these endeavours involved ground-breaking research that may be able to detect aggressive cancer simply through a blood test. This is of particular relevance to the Yukon with most specialists thousands of kilometers away, and we have been using our money raised to further this research so we can send blood instead of patients out of the Territory -catching cancer earlier, and saving lives.

The 2024 Prostate Cancer Patient Conference is a two-day in-person educational event for prostate cancer patients and caregivers. Join other patients and caregivers who will be attending from across the US and internationally. Renowned physicians from different specialties will be covering topics including every topic in prostate cancer. At the end of the conference, Drs. Mark Scholz and Mark Moyad host an extended Q+A session covering topics and questions that have been submitted by attendees.
