The Special Support Program is an income-tested program that helps residents with their drug costs to their income. Applicants will receive a deductible and a co-payment for each calendar year.

The Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) Medical Travel Assistance Pilot Program helps registered Métis citizens requiring medical, cancer or dialysis appointments outside their home communities. The program offers support such as reimbursement of fuel costs, accommodation support and a healthy food allowance.

All new Saskatchewan residents must register themselves and their dependents for a Saskatchewan Health Card to receive health benefits. New Saskatchewan residents have relocated to Saskatchewan from another Canadian province/territory, or from outside Canada, such as foreign nationals, international students and returning Canadians. Health Card applications are usually processed within six to eight weeks after the province receives your application.
